Publishing Softball League 2011 Tournament

The Publishing Softball League 2011 Tournament

 

The 2011 Publishers Softball League annual tournament was the biggest yet (in my memory certainly) with 18 teams participating, including guests from the Greater London league, the Advertising league, the Bankers league and the softball development squad, as well as a healthy contingent from our own league.

Undaunted by the decidedly dodgy weather in the skies over Richmond, the tournament went on in full swing and good spirits. The spoils went to our guest teams with a clean sweep of the three competitions.

Many congratulations to the Knight Sliders (Medal winners), Voodoos (Plate winners) and Guerillas (Cup winners), and heartfelt thanks to all the organisers, umpires, caterers and (of course) the players who made the day such great fun.

 We look forward to a similarly enjoyable tournament next year - perhaps with some better weather!

2011 fixtures to be announced

2011 fixtures will be posted tonight!

 

The pitch allocations are in and the fixture list is all but ready for publishing. Once home from work I'll upload them to the site ready for your viewing pleasure!

2010 PSL Tournament

Congratulations to the the Comers Homers for winning the tournament and to Voodoos for being runners up.


In the Plate the winners were the Loan Wolves and runners up Raiders Orange.

A big thanks to the umpires, Mitch for presenting the cups and MVPs. To Julie, Neil, Gabor, Mike and Ross for organising a great tournament. The next tournament is expected to take place on 4 September, 2011 - see you there...

2011 Fixtures now out!

The fixture list for 2011 is now available.

 

I have tried to accommodate each teams' preference for the evening they play on. If any dates are likely to cause a problem let me know. A downloadable version of the fixtures is available in the downloads section of the site.

League Champions and runner ups

The 2010 PSL Division 1 Champions are the Dubstars and the runners up are Carlton Piranhas.

The Division 2 Champions are the Redactives and runners up the Bitches.

Congratulations to them and all the other teams for making this a terrific season. See you all in 2011!

Cartlon win Raiders Invitational Tornament

Carlton Piranhas win the 2010 Raiders Invitational Tournament

Wandsworth Common on Sunday the 22nd of August.
With a record of 2 and 1 Carlton advanced to the semi finals and were drawn against their arch rivals, The Ticklers, narrowly beaing them 11-10. Then proceeding to to beat the Tornadoes 25-3.

Congratulations to Carlton and the Ticklers for such good placings in the tournament. And thanks to the Raiders for a great tournament.
